These gloves were exactly what I needed for riding on my mountain bike. As you can see from the picture this is my 2nd pair. My 1st ones (red) lasted me for quite a while. My Garmin tells me that I've got 950 miles on the red pair. They still fit snugly on my hands but the padding is more or less gone. They have also acquired a smell that I can't seem to wash out anymore. I guess both of those things are to be expected after 900 miles of riding in the San Antonio heat. Overall these were a great product for the price.
Ordered & received these pretty quickly. My 3 month old gloves from a different company are fading & the webing between the fingers is splitting plus they're not as comfortable now . So I ordered a pair of these & wore them for the 1st time on a 16 mile trail / road ride & boy are they comfortable a little tighter probably because they're new & seem to be well made Now only time will tell how they hold up , so for now I gave them 5 stars & it's 80 degree's here just south of Wilmington NC so warmth is not a consideration .
It occurred to me that various sports require use of a padded glove, and after looking at several chose these. They are literally saving my hand, and enabling me to continue walking my dog! I can't express what this means to me, I hope the manufacturer sees comments. I just ordered 2 more pairs - I want to be sure to always have some.
I bought these gloves because years of walking w/ a cane was causing serious nerve pain and numbness in that hand. I walk my dog for an hour each day and was thinking I'd have to hire a dog walker - something I do not want to do. Walking without the cane is not an option. Neither are surgery or long-term drugs.
I bought these for use on my spin bike. Sweat and friction on my palms causes my eczema to flare up, so my needs for gloves are fairly basic. Based on the number of positive reviews and ordering a gel saddle cover also made by Luxobike that is excellent, I bought this pair. These gloves fit my needs perfectly! They are well made, fit well, have good padding and those loops make them a breeze to take off— no inside out fingers to mess with. I kept them on for strength training— they are serving me well for that purpose also.
These cycling gloves are very well padded and quite comfortable. I have numbness issues due to possible carpal tunnel and while no glove will eliminate that for me, these certainly help delay the onset of it making riding more enjoyable. I rated the warmth of them at 3 because I’m guessing fingerless gloves with a very breathable fabric on the top side of the glove are not going to be very warm at all.
So glad I got these. I ordered a pair from a different company and returned them. These have been great. The padding is perfect. I’ve had gloves with really thick padding, which you’d think would be what you’d want, but the padding actually got in the way. These have just the right amount of padding. Not sure how they will work in the colder months since the tops are mesh.
We are so pleased with our glove purchase! Both my husband and I got these gloves for bike rides, and they're so far right up there with the best biking gloves I've owned (which went across the country with me some years ago)! The fabric is stretchy and comfortable, the velcro closure is fitted and protected from wrist chafing by thoughtful design elements. Every feature appears to have been thoughtfully designed and well stitched. The padding has been super comfortable so far, include both road riding and dirt/gravel path riding bumpiness (and my bike doesn't have shock absorbers!). There's a soft sweat-wiping fabric on the back of the thumb, and the finger loops make removal a snap! The colors look even better in person than they do online (I got the "gray", which is more of a green-gray, but it still looks good; my husband got the red).
I bought a pair of these for my husband and he liked them so much that he wanted two more pairs. Then I decided I wanted to try them and I'm now thinking about ordering another pair for myself. They are super comfortable and the little loops are the top of the gloves to pull them off are genius. I never would have expected them to make such a difference.
I read a bunch of the reviews and decided to give them a try. One review said that they ran small, but I still ordered the medium, based on the measurements given on the site, and because in stores, the medium size is the best for me. Fit is terrific. The pull loops do a great job of letting you take the gloves off quickly, and not inside-out. The suede on the palms is super-soft, and works in a pinch to blot a sweaty brow. The thumb terry might be useful this fall, but in the Maryland summer heat, I stick with my Kool towel (which has been my best friend, the same one, since 2013). The reviews about the color are accurate, the gray is more of a cool green, which I really like. I've only been using them for 2 weeks, but that's 30 miles a day in a hot, humid summer. They don't make my hands feel hot, and they keep my grip tight and dry on the handlebars. I don't know how well they'll hold up, but they're great so far.
I have about 6-7 sets of 'dead' biking gloves in my garage. Either they are too small, hard to get off, falling apart or are uncomfortable. But these gloves...the Luxobike ones, are the Goldielocks of gloves. They go on w/o struggle and come off even more easily, with the little pull-loops below the fingers. The gel pads on the palms are comfortable and the stitching is solid. Plus they look and feel good.
This is the third pair of gloves I've purchased in the last five years, yet the first from this brand. I doubt I would want to purchase another brand - these are quality made, great design, super comfortable, arrived quickly and were a great price
This is my second pair of these gloves. Unfortunately I lost my first pair. Left them somewhere. I ordered them again because they are comfortable to wear while riding. They're not a thick and cushiony as other gloves, but the grip pattern is just right. They also have pull strings to aid removing them. Nice touch. The back side is a stretchy material that doesn't get hot, thus my hands are rarely sweaty. I ride 3-4 times per week usually 20-30 miles per ride.
I ride about 100 miles per week for exercise on a hybrid/comfort bike on paved roads and trails. I was riding bare handed in mostly warm to hot weather and my hands would sweat and make twist shifting difficult. These gloves have been the perfect solution giving the grip I need for easy shifting while also providing padding. I didn't even realize I would benefit from the padding until I started riding with these gloves and then found my hands were less sore. These gloves are very comfortable to wear and easy to remove with the loops. I have been hand washing the gloves with a mild detergent every day after my ride and they hold up well and are showing no signs of wear.
Nice fit and quality for 'large' hands. So I measured my hands. From forefinger to pinky, 3.25 inches. from thumb to pinky, 4.25 inches. (I am too tired to convert to metric, sorry.) The gloves are a touch loose, but not uncomfortable. The loops between the fingers to pull the gloves off are strong, great and work well! I am happy with the quality and comfort. Nice padding in the palm of the hand, and my hands don't sweat at all. I just rode today in 95 degree weather! Buy them, the price is good!
I like them. They are slightly padded in the palm, they are easy to get on and off, and they allow for finger movement to shift gears and apply brakes easily. They aren't too warm either which is good for the Texas heat. I bought them because I tend to clinch the handlebars and my hands often go to sleep. These gloves remind me that I don't have to hold on so tight. I haven't ridden in cold weather yet but I believe they will be comfortable for winter too.
I purchased these gloves for my girlfriend and was she happy to get them. She rides just about everyday and from I can see they look very comfortable. I like the fact that the inside of the palm has a lot of padding. I have purchased other that had very minimal padding. My girlfriend is very pleased with them. I will buy again for sure.
Was a bit skeptical of the pull loops at first, but after a few rides with these gloves, they are a great feature to have! The sweat wipe on the thumbs is pretty cool too. Ordered a large and the gloves are a bit snug, but not to the point of being uncomfortable. Matter of fact, i kind of like that they are so form fitting. Only downside is that, while the padding seemed very robust out of the package, it is wearing out quickly and not retaining its cushioning. I'll report back as time goes on since its not a problem yet, but i am only a few hours into using them.
At this price point these gloves are of very good quality. I ordered the extra-large size, which is the same size I wear in a golf glove. They run just a tad small but fit reasonably well, and I have pretty big hands. They provide sufficient protection to help me avoid hand fatigue and numbness during my 30 to 40 mile rides on paved bike trails. I've worn them five times and they have held up very well. I'm not a mountain biker, so I can't speak to their suitability for that type of biking.
I recently bought an indoor exercise bike and wanted some gloves, so, after looking at dozens on line, I selected the LuxoBike gloves. In the 12 to 15 years since I lhad my road bike, cycling gloves have really changed. These are much better than any I had in the past. They are true to size and fit me well. The well-placed padding makes them very comfortable. The built-in loops make removing them so much easier than the ones I used to have. And, they are very attractive. I am quite pleased with them and would not hesitate to recommend them.
I recently switched from a tri-bike where the weight was on my forearms to a flat bar bike to use for fitness and commuting. My old gloves just didn't have enough padding and by the end of an hour my hands were pretty sore. These gloves fit as expected, look pretty good, are comfortable to wear and provide much better padding than my other gloves. While my hands were still a bit fatigued after 90 minutes, I think that's unavoidable, and it was much better than with my other gloves. Also, the strings on the end of the fingers are indeed helpful when trying to take them off of sweaty hands. I'll likely but another pair.
I LOVE the loops to remove the gloves! They do not get in the way at all! My first ride with them was 65 miles. I was really hoping they would do a better job of protecting my hands than my previous gloves (I work in surgery and have struggled with nerve compression in the past. When my hands aren’t protected properly I have trouble opening and closing clamps and things) I’m IMPRESSED. My hands were perfectly fine afterward! Immediately ordered a pair for my husband too!
I'm a middle child. I think this is the reason I was forgotten. My older sister learned how to ride a bike. My younger brother learned how to ride a bike. Somehow, my dad forgot me. And I didn't think to complain until I was much, much older. Fast forward 2 decades or so, and my husband came home with a bike for me, determined to teach me. But before I would get on it, I needed safety gear. I researched helmets and picked one. I got elbow and knee pads. And then, as an afterthought, I got these gloves. Let me tell you how incredibly glad I am that I did. I spent hours on Saturday learning. The most important thing was my helmet, because I did fall off once and hit my head hard enough that I had a light headache. But the helmet protected me from the worst (and it kept my face from hitting the ground too - I recommend you get the kind with the visor for extra protection). But the surprise 2nd place for protection was the gloves, as I used my hands to break many a fall. If I hadn't had these guys, my hands would have been torn up after the 2nd fall. They are super comfortable, easy to put on and pull off, due to the little finger loops. I don't know if I would call them breathable, but my hands never slipped, and the cushioning is great. I will likely buy a second pair if I start riding more regularly. For now, I can say that finally, 5 weeks before my 35th birthday, I have finally learned how to ride a bicycle, and these gloves definitely helped!
Wow. These gloves really don't get the praise they deserve. I haven't used them yet as I just got them. They fit perfectly by the size guide they give you. They are soft. But they are the most padded I've ever seen or felt. The length is really good as well. They fit just to the wrist and not past the wrist which is really hard to find. Update** I will be buying another 2 pairs of these. They are the most comfortable for riding. The padding is in the exact right spots. My hands are saved! Awesome gloves! Have used them 4 times, 20 miles each time and they are still like new! Update 2** I figured out that the back of the thumb part is like a terry cloth and amazing at mopping up sweat and whatnot. Super soft. Update 3** bought another pair. These are great!
This is the best pair of cycling gloves I have ever owned! This was recommended on Amazon, and after reading the reviews, I purchased them. Glad I did! I will never own another pair. They are comfortable on long rides; the padding is not overly burdensome on the palms. I love the quick-removal finger release loops on each glove. The Velcro on each glove is durable and hasn’t failed me yet. I have well over a couple thousand miles on these, and they are with me for the long haul. This page is marked, and I will be getting another pair of these when the time comes for replacement.
