I rely on reviews to make up my mind on products I am new to. The reviews were mixed to say the least. I tried this on an omega seamaster watch with deep scratches, one at the center of the watch. I watch the Utube instructional and followed the instructions. The results where impressive. I highly recommend this product.
I got this item just to see if it would actually work. I was hesitant because I herd some bad reviews saying it didn't work, or it destroyed their watch. However, I just couldn't take seeing that "deep" scratch I had on my iwatch when it was only 4 months old (practically new). I read that someone polished their iwatch for about an hour and her medium scratch came out. So I did the same. Polishing where my scratches were, wasn't easy. It was angled and at the very bottom edge of the screen. I did the process 3 times before putting the towel in. It actually REDUCED my scratches tremendously! I was about to put my nail inside the scratch before and after it was relatively flat. I will be doing the process again another time. The only downfall, was that I thought I had more in the syringe because it was pulled all the way back in the package. However, for the price, I shouldn't complain. If I were you, I would definitely buy it! The only thing you need is PATIENCE, and the scratches will either fade away, or go away in total. I will be doing another process on it later in the month to see if it goes away. I am really happy wit the outcome. I should of taken a before picture, but I didn't think this would work, and I was pleasantly surprised.
This worked on my Apple Watch. I had scratched my watch glass face towards the corner. I only had the watch for a week after realizing what happened and regretting not putting a protective shield on the watch. It was a medium/deep scratch and big enough to bother me from looking at it and wanted to order a kit to fix it. I was able to use the kit to heal the scratch to a much more smaller size that is much less noticeable than if I didn’t use the kit. You have to follow the instructions and be patient to work the product to fix the scratch. It took me almost an hour and almost 6 applications (from same tube) to buff out the scratch with breaks in between. You really have to apply pressure and follow the directions of movement to buff it out. Like the other reviews the product comes out pretty fast so you have to gently tap it out to not waste it. I’m really pleased with the kit and happy I was able to restore my watch face to where i can’t see the scratch outright. I think this brand has different types of scratch repair kits. The one I used for my Apple Watch was the glass polish kit.
I had a scratch on a glass screen portable monitor. Nothing else worked but this. My advice - don't use too much repair liquid at once. Once you get the rhythm down of removing the scratch, you only want a microlayer of the repair liquid between your special tool they provide and the glass. I didn't think the scratch could be fixed, but it was. One last point - it will remove the Oleophobic layer on a grass screen, so I got Nanotech oleophobic liquid and reapplied to the area where the scratch remover and polish were used. If you're careful and patient, you'd be surprised what you can do with this product. Remember - the only way to fix glass is to polish it - which removes atoms. But I have no complaints and would buy this again if the job required it.
I used this on a moderately scratched Seiko Automatic with a Hardlex mineral crystal and it worked well with a little help! I started first with wet sanding, using 1000 grit sandpaper followed by 2000, then 3000. This left the crystal mostly free of scratches but 2 or 3 deep scratches remained and it was a little hazy in the sunlight. So I ordered the Polywatch glass kit. I found the kit to be really great. It includes most of what you need beside the elbow grease and ultimately a Dremel. I followed the instructions to the T applying correct pressure at the correct angle for several rounds, using about 2/3 of the primary cream rinsing with soap and water in between rounds. You have to have a LOT of patience. Ultimately I grabbed my Dremel, attached a polishing pad, put a couple drops of cream on the scratches and polished at a mid-low speed. I used a circular motion applying light pressure. I then used a mini buffing wheel to clear. After two rounds of polish/buff/wash the crystal was sparkling clean and very smooth. I inspected it with a loop in bright sunlight and the results were like new. Overall I’m very satisfied but wish Polywatch would just recommend a Dremel. It would’ve made the job so much easier. I would definitely buy the kit again. But I know better now that a little extra help is need. I should note that Hardlex goes beyond regular glass in hardness and difficulty in polishing this would have been much more effective with regular glass or crystal.
WORKEDFOR ME AS THE HARD WAY I LEARNED BY NOT USIMG A SCREEN PROTECTOR TOOK SEVERAL APPLICATIONS BUT DIT IT RIGHT AND KNOW A SCREEN PROTECTOR IS ON MY PHONE THIS PRODUCT IS SO DAM RIGHT I WOULD BUY IT AGAIN REALLY LOVE THE RESULTS
I used this stuff on my mid-90's Omega Speedmaster Automatic, which has the original crystal (or, at least, an Omega-manufactured crystal with the embedded Omega logo on it). It took the scratches (some deep, some superficial) right out and the crystal looks beautiful. It came with a link to a youtube video that tells you exactly how to use it. Couple of cautions and notes. First off, it's very difficult to control the amount that comes out when you press the plungers on the syringes. That's a problem, because you end up wasting a lot of the material when you use it. Press carefully, folks, or else you'll use all of it at once. (Otherwise, I would estimate you could probably get 5-6 or so good uses out of it.) Also, they are SERIOUS when they say "tape off the section of the crystal you are working on." My watch was pretty scratched up after I set it face down on a the nightstand after a friend's bachelor party (d'oh!), so I ignored the advice about taping sections off and tried to do the whole thing at once. BIG MISTAKE. The compound is like grey mud, and it seeped into the cracks at the edge of the crystal and under the bezel. For weeks afterwords, I had little bits of the grey mud seeping out onto the crystal. Eventually, that stopped and the watch is fine now. I would recommend picking up some microfiber cloths from the eyeglasses department; you'll need them to clean up.
Worked really well on my galaxy s8, I was able to remove all the minor scratches with two deep ones that are now barely visible. I'm extremely happy with the outcome, I have to literally look for the scratches now when the screen is on. One thing to note, I did use all the solution in both tubes to achieve this result. I would definitely buy it again.
I'm an idiot. I flip a butterfly knife in my spare time and just this Saturday I was flipping the knife and it fell on my Galaxy S9, creating a huge scratch in the bottom right corner that was nearly a millimeter deep. I was devasted because the S9 has a gorgeous screen and now it had been ruined by a scratch comparable to a crack. On a whim, I bought this glass repair kit hoping that it could fix my screen, but I had little hope considering the depth of the scratch. However, about 20 minutes ago, after receiving the Amazon package in the mail, I finished the application process and to my utter astonishment, the scratch was gone. I am stunned that the glass repair could remove a scratch so deep. Now that portion of the screen looks better than all the other areas because the scratch is gone and the micro scratches removed. I would highly recommend this product. NOTE: I used two applications of repair solution because after the first one the scratch was still apparent. Then, I used one application of the finish solution to complete the repair.
Well I was skeptical after reading the reviews and I was also worried that I wouldn't receive anything in the box, but all of it was there. I have AppleCare so I figured if I screw the watch up, then I can just get another one, so I had nothing to lose. I followed the direction to the T and you can see the results for yourself. I honestly do not know how I scratched the glass since I was under the impression that Sapphire doesn't scratch easily. I was always so careful with my watch, but alas it got scratched. Deep enough to feel with your fingernail. As you can see from the first image the scratch is noticeable in the reflection of the light. I also took a microscopic shot of the scratch. The rest of the images show you the results. Even under the microscope the scratch is totally gone! I am very happy with the product. Hope this review helps you since I could not find anyone who used this on a Sapphire Apple watch display. Nothing on You-Tube either. Everything was just on the X-Glass (basic model) and people were using toothpaste. Toothpaste! That never works. Anyway there you go.
