I got this so my wife could wash dogs in the tub and clean up the shower easier afrterwards. It's made of chrome looking plastic and the hose is a dull stainless cover over a rubber tube. This is a simple and cheap looking product. Install was very easy and took about two minutes. The hose is long enough to almost touch the bottom of the tub which is perfect to wash a short, fat dog. The head has several modes but I only use the regular spray pattern. This works great and has enough pressure to feel like it's getting the soap off. The water stream seems to feel hotter than the last shower head. I think there is less fine spray so less evaporative heat loss which is a major plus. Overall, it won't impress a shower head snob but it works perfectly. If you are in the "cheap is best" stage of life, get this. If you want something that is sophisticated, move on.
I’m not a home improvement, handy person at all, but I was still able to install this hand shower and not have it leak! The installation was super simple and needed no extra tools or wrenches. My first attempt had some water leaking from the main shower arm so I rechecked the washer and wrapped some of the included Teflon tape over the pipe thread and that fixed the leak. Easy peasy and the hand shower works great now. For the price, this hand shower does what is needed and I like how it has quite a few different spray options. Some might not like that it’s not heavy or made of metal, but I prefer a lighter (therefore plastic) hand shower because it’s easier to hold and if I accidentally clock myself on the head or knock it into my arm or leg then it won’t hurt like hell. Overall, it’s a good purchase for the price.
I won't lie we bought this bc our old shower head was clogged and we needed something cheap to work, but it went above and beyond expectations. It was easy to install, but let's be honest you really want to know how good it works. OH MY GOD the power behind this thing is amazing to wash your hair under. Folks with long hair be prepared to never want to leave the shower again, it's that good. We're talking about buying another one for a back up just in case this one breaks.
So I’ve had this for a day so I can only really talk about the installation, which was pretty straightforward. But I stress this, which is why it’s the title of my review, use the plumbers tape that is included. Because using the washers alone without it will still have water spraying everywhere, especially where the hose connects and where the showerarm connects to the nozzle. I found the water pressure on this to be a lot stronger than my old showerhead but I guess I’ll get used to it. Overall installation took 15 minutes and most of that time was spent testing for leaks but, again, once I used the plumbers tape - no leaks!
