I'm very happy with these paint pens. I use them to make mugs for co-workers and Friends. They're a heck of a lot cheaper than other brands, and from what I can tell they work just as well.
The product arrived on time and quality was great! We used it to draw / color on rubber dodgeballs. The color was rich and vibrant. The only downside was it did not dry as quickly as I had hoped and the colored portions remained a little sticky. Even after spraying it with sealant, it was sticky and a bit of the colors came off when touched. But I completely love this product and cant wait to use it on other surfaces and for other projects.
I painted a permanent blackboard with these paint pens about our school's composting program. I had these pens and another brand's pens. These were better. They didn't drip all crazy like the others; the paint came out in a more controlled manner. If you want more paint on the tip, press the tip gently but firmly down on a paper, then paint. If you want a lesser amount of paint you can just press it about 1/2 way to get what you want. I guess I am saying that if you are careful, these are more controllable than the others. They look great, I did a whole huge blackboard in a couple hours. Since I was painting on black, I did go over each bit twice, but I felt that was reasonable. Colors were bright and clean.
I needed a paint pen to mark my scuba gear. They cost about the same for one pen as I bought this entire set. These pens have a good tip. Not too fine. The caps seal well to prevent the tips from drying out. I painted my name on my tanks and it required a couple coats, but the paint is bright and durable. I'd buy these pens again
I ordered these to paint rocks. Love them. I bought some cheap acrylic paint to paint the rocks, then use these to decorate them. It's calming and fun. The paints come out nice and even, and are very bright on the acrylic paint. They were shipped and arrived quickly. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
Fun! My friend and I decided to have a Saturday in making food, drinking wine, and painting some dollar store wine glasses. I can't wait until the next get together; I'm thinking of letting everyone paint their own glass or vase and they can take it home as a little gift.
(Based on first use) These pens did just what we needed! We had tried writing names on glass mugs with sharpy pens and then baking the mugs. That "sort of" worked, but the results were wearing off with a few washings. So, we looked for something more likely to avoid fading or rubbing off. There were a few options for oil-based paint pens, and the Beric ones looked like the best combination of ratings and price. After using them to over-write the names onto the mugs, I'd say they are very easy to use, although I wish we'd gotten the fine points instead of medium. Not a fault in the product, just that the medium points were a bit harder to keep on the lines I'd already written. However, the paint flowed perfectly - not too thin, not 'globby', just right. It covers nicely - very opaque, which is what we wanted. (Note - do be patient in getting the paint started: shake WELL, and then persist in pushing the tip onto a piece of paper until the tip fills with paint and starts to dot the paper. It took me about 15 pushes, so the directions saying "a few" may be slightly misleading.) I can't rate them for durability yet, but based on the appearance after this first application, I'm guessing they'll do better in terms of staying on the glass through gentle washing. (I plan to do a bake of the mugs as well, since several reviews recommend that.)
These pens worked great and lasted a long time. We bought them to make personalized coffee cups for Christmas gifts. We used them on over 30 cups and they are still going strong. I thought for sure we would need at least another set to accomplish all thirty and I was wrong. Extremely satisfied.
I'll update this if necessary later, but I received a hilarious review request from Beric and felt I had to post. The pens came perfectly packaged, sealed tightly, no leaks or tears in plastic of any kind. Box was solid. I haven't opened all the pens yet, but the ones I did open and try had a beautiful, even flow of paint. I bought these to write on glass, and based on what I've seen so far, I think they'll be just what I need. I bought them because they are oil based and not water based. I'm looking forward to doing a lot more with them.
I painted my son’s mailbox with the oil markers. He requested this. Came out wonderful. Going to wax with car wax in a week as a protectant. We think it came out wonderful.
They worked great. They were bright colors they did not leak. Some others I have gotten have leaked all over the place but this was nice straightforward colors. I didn't care for the orange though it's like fluorescent. Otherwise I have plenty of orange anyway from other sets so no. I wish there were more colors and these paint pens btt I'll take what I can get. I definitely will buy this again.
Very nice paint pens. I needed something for small touch ups on engine detail projects. Touching up the yellow print on the fill lids, black touch ups on radiator supports or panels and silver bolt and screw heads. These colors are right on. Very good match and fast drying. The other colors are a bonus. I'm sure I'll have a need for these on future projects. BTW, the white is a perfect match for Chrysler T&C minivans exterior touch ups.. Great purchase for me.
Amazing quality! Used to paint rocks for our local community rock hunting group that spreads kindness. Used by myself and 11 year old son! Dion
LOVE THESE PENS! I am using them to detail small wooden trains. The flow of the ink is perfect! The color is vibrant and only needs one swipe. The price was amazing and I only wish I had purchased the fine tips for what I am using them for. Highest quality pens!
They are a little hard to use at first, but once you get the hang of it they are great. I used them to do art on mugs, and they were perfect. It can smear when it's still wet, but as soon as it is dry it DOES NOT come off, so be careful.
I bought these to paint designs on rocks. Its a thing in many communities now - you paint rocks, hide them in parks and playgrounds, children find them and collect them. Its a big deal :) I bought many types of acrylic paints and paint pens, and I like the Beric paint pens the best. Colors are bright, they have no difficulty with a challenging surface (like a ROCK) and provide decent coverage. I like 'em.
Bought four packs of these to paint rocks at a festival. The rocks were painted first with a base paint of spray paint. Many children used these pens over and over. No clumping or bleeding of colors. Dried fast whennon rocks. Children had a easy time using. Colors were bright. We painted over 300 rocks and didn’t use all four packs. I was worried the paint pens would dry up quickly between uses but as long as the lid is on it last a long time.
Don’t press the tip too abruptly or the nib may get stuck in the pen barrel. If this happens, ink will spill out. I suggest you keep a cheap pair of tweezers with this pen set, and just fish the nib out. You can also use your fingers if you don’t mind getting ink all over them.
I needed to make a euchre trump cube with some snazzy colors and wanted something that would withstand lots of handling. Oil based markers were required and I ordered these. Perfect in all respects. Colors are vivid and varied, the pens are of solid construction, and they are definitely permanent. I applied them over a wood block I had spray painted white, and then applied a coat of sprayed lacquer after using the pens. No bleeding of colors. It would seem you can use these for just about anything....
Great paint pens! My daughter used them to decorate my guitar with some great graphics and drawings. She's very talented that way. I will include a picture of the guitar. She said the pens are easy to use and the paint flows well. One tended to flow too well, and made a bit of a mess, but the others all worked fine. She said that some of the colors were not as brilliant as she expected based upon the ad and the cap color, but the were still acceptable.
Loved them, the bright colors looked great on a beer glass even after placing in the oven and the pens had the right amount of thickness for a Father’s Day craft done by kids. They colored over letters and heart stickers with them. They do require shaking them strongly before using them. I had bought different ones that were too thin and did not stand out on the glass.
Let me start by saying that upon opening the box, one of the pens obviously had "bled out" inside it's wrapper. It was all crispy & dried, so it happened awhile ago. The wrappers must be excellently sealed, because none of the paint leaked out all over the other pens. I was kind of disappointed, because I use silver a lot, & the set is not cheap. Besides that: The pens are incredible. The colors are what I love most. They are all bright, & once they dry completely, they hold their color. Some of the reviews for these & other paint pens had me a little worried. I've had several paint pens over the years & they are not like any other medium. I've had my share of splats, puddles & shredded tips, which can be awful if you ruin a project, or have to toss an expensive pen. You can't use them like other pens & markers. With a little patience, you can avoid a mess & keep your investment for awhile. The most important thing is the priming. After shaking the closed marker a few times so you hear the mixers inside, take off the lid holding the tip up. The point is dry the 1st time, but after that, sometimes he shaking will fill the tip. If you pull the lid off over your clothes, or with he point down, you may end up with paint everywhere. Next you need to prime the pen. It says to push the point up & down several times. I've seen people whack it over & over. Don't. Push it down gently & hold it a few seconds. Check if you see the paint moving into the point. Push & hold again until you have a flow going. Keep a stack of old newspapers nearby & always check the flow before touching it onto your project. Shake gently every so often while using. As soon as you finish with it, put the cap on right away. You can't really use several pens at the same time since each one needs to be primed before use & capped when it's not. Shouldn't be a problem if you do a bit of planning first. These are excellent quality pens. When I need more & I save up a bit, I'd definitely choose this brand again.
I purchase these to use on a camping trip. We had 12 girls and I wanted to do a fun and useful craft with them. So we made fairy laterns using solar lid fairy lights and mason jars. Using the pens to decorate the jars and they came out great. Vibrant colors that worked well on the glass jars, I believe a few rocks were also painted. I did give just 4 stars on ease of use. The pens needed to be primed a bit and also dripped some, so it just made it a bit messy for some of the younger girls. But over all I loved them, great value and would purchase again
These work for permanent markers. Oil base is what you want for painting rocks that last. I tried everything and did not realize the regular permanent sharpies and acrylics did not hold up to the sun, wind, rain & elements like oil based ones. I do paint my rocks with white oil based spray cans first to get a smooth surface first before I draw, paint on design. This helps alot. I see others who draw, paint directly on rocks without prepping them with a good background paint and they don't show the cleanness of lines, detail or vividness of color as well. It also stops any bleeding out or wobblyness in details if you prep them first. I've used thes on rubber too so they worknon alot of different mediums. I love them!!! I'm going to try them on bamboo sticks & other things with the neat circle dots they use in aboriginal australian art. Too cool!!! Recommend!
My daughter and I had a great time using these paint markers while doing artistic drawings on a canvas board! The colors are very bright and good quality! Wish there was a brown color in the package, but we used gold and our painting still looked good!
